To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the ASEAN and the 25th ASEAN-ROK Cultural Exchange Year, the Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc. together with the Korean Cultural Center initiated the mural project titled ‘Beyond Borders, Peaceful Voyage’, which is among the featured street art in the BGC Arts Center Festival last November 2017.
The wall of Daiichi Properties’ 28-storey One Global Place served as the canvass for the artwork, which features a Korean Chaekgado, a traditional painting from Korea’s Joseon dynasty. To showcase the friendship between ASEAN and Korea, artists from Korea and ASEAN nations collaborated on the 35 x 27.5-meter mural and painted symbols representing the various ASEAN countries.
