The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the maintenance and engineering team to ensure the optimal operation, safety, and compliance of building systems and equipment. This role oversees preventive maintenance, strategic planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and capital expenditure projects, while ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements. The Engineering Manager also plays a cross-functional role, supporting multiple properties managed by the company.
Job Requirements:
- Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of five (5) years working experience in mechanical and electrical operations and maintenance of High-rise Buildings.
- Pollution Control Officer (PCO) is an advantage, but not required.
- Working knowledge of governmental processes such as permitting, zoning, and licensing.
- Preferably residing near or willing to work in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads and oversees the daily operations of the maintenance and engineering team, ensuring tasks are complete efficiently and effectively.
- Schedules and manages regular inspections of building systems and equipment, identifying deficiencies and preparing corrective measures to maintain optimal performance.
- Develops and implements preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring timely execution to avoid disruptions with the operations.
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment manuals and safety documentation.
- Identifies and implements safety programs, ensuring compliance with engineering audits and regulatory permit requirements for the property.
- Assists in planning and execution of future building developments, improvements, and innovations.
- Acts as project lead for CAPEX initiatives, overseeing the execution from planning to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Review and evaluate plans submitted by tenants prior to execution of fit-out, and monitor the fit-out works to ensure compliance with the approved plans.
- Quickly respond to emergency situations such as equipment breakdown and leaks.
- Reviews and approves plans for both minor and major works in leasable spaces and common areas across multiple managed properties.
