Christmas is a season of giving, sharing and of communities coming together. For this 2021 holiday season, Daiichi Properties and the building management teams of The Finance Centre, World Plaza, One World Place and One Global Place buildings in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) organized a virtual social engagement to inspire the underprivileged youth under the care of Virlanie Foundation.
Virlanie Foundation is a private, non-profit organization reaching out to street children in the Philippines. Virlanie cares for children in need of special protection – those who are abandoned, abused, exploited, neglected, orphaned and among the poorest of the poor.
Titled “Gifts of Christmas: Inspire”, the program invited speakers from different companies within Daiichi’s building community to inspire the young teens being cared for in Virlanie’s Elizabeth and Ella Yalah Homes. The speakers, coming from different backgrounds and industries, shared knowledge about their professions, companies and experiences, and had lively interactions with the audience. Held last December 7 and 10, 2021, the virtual program also included mini-games and a guided virtual tour of the Daiichi Properties office to give the children an idea of what it is like to work in an office.
Daiichi Properties would like to extend its appreciation to the speakers and the companies they represent (ADP Pharma Corporation, IBM Philippines Inc, ING Business Shared Services, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation and Realme Philippines) for sharing their knowledge and insights during the virtual social engagement. We would also like to thank Virlanie Foundation for providing us with the platform to engage the underprivileged youth and for helping us make the program a success.
